One of my favorite memories is sitting around the kitchen table, papers scattered everywhere, watching my kids do their homework. Those nights taught me the importance of helping people find the answers they need, especially as dinner approached.
At Apple Federal Credit Union, we take pride in quickly answering our members’ financial questions. We know you lead busy lives. Our goal is to free up your time by providing prompt, caring service that anticipates your needs, especially when it comes to technology.
This year, we are excited to offer new and expanded solutions that will make it easier to do business on your schedule with Apple.
During COVID, we launched a solution to meet the immediate needs of banking remotely. We are now expanding to a new Video Banking platform which allows for a more feature-rich experience to serve you during your scheduled video appointment. Our dedicated video representatives can co-browse your screen to help with troubleshooting, process loan applications and new account or product openings, as well as to walk you through more complex financial topics.
We know that approximately 27% of our members live in an area without a physical branch, and that Northern Virginia traffic and busy lives can occasionally make it difficult to see us in person. We look forward to serving you through Video Banking.
Sometimes you need answers to financial questions outside of traditional business hours. We are developing an Apple FCU Chatbot for release later this year that will make it easier to find answers to basic questions at any time, day or night.
Our Chatbot will be available online 24/7/365. It will be able to answer hundreds of questions in simple, plain language, not gobbledygook, and will learn to answer even more over time.
A Chatbot will never replace the experience of working with an Apple expert in person at one of our 21 branches, over the phone or on a video call, which is why you’ll always have the option to talk directly with staff during business hours. Our Chatbot is simply a self-service resource to get you the answers you need when you need them.
ATM Technology Upgrade
We’ve heard your feedback about the desire for improved automated teller machines (ATM), so we are upgrading select ATMs this year. Modernizing our ATMs is a top priority and will allow us to ultimately expand the use of interactive teller machines (ITM).
ITMs offer more features than traditional ATMs, including the ability to receive assistance from a live video teller during your transaction. We’re already using this technology at a handful of branches, including Fairfax Corner, Springfield and Lake Ridge. Stop by one of those branches if you’re interested in seeing an ITM in action!
